There are tons of tips for selling your home. Here are just a few
.) Be sure you are ready to sell and price your home accordingly. The best way to not sell your home is to price it out of the market. Ask your real estate agent to provide you with comparables. You can even request one through this site from the My Property's Value tab.
.) Clean!! Organize!! Declutter!! Cluttered homes do not show well. You only get one shot at making a good impression on a buyer, so make the most of it. You may like all your nicnacs, vintage dolls, or whatever it may be that is cluttering your home, but they make spaces look smaller; box them up. After you have organized, clean everything and make the house smell fresh. Yard sale what you don't need anymore. This gives you money for tip 3.
.) Freshen up paint, carpets, siding, etc. Touch up the paint, clean the carpets, pressure wash the siding. These are all things that are inexpensive and will go a long way with buyers. If a buyer sees that you take care of what you CAN see, then the feel like you take care of what you CAN'T see.
.) Curb Appeal is everything. You can't sell a home if you don't get the buyer out of their car. I don't know how many times I have driven up to a house and the buyer does not even want to get out of the car. Spruce up that yard. Plant a few colorful flowers. This is the first impression your house will give to the buyer! Your home can be immaculate on the interior, but you have to welcome them in first.
